Etiological analysis
In mythology, etiology is the non-scientific use of mythology to understand the origins of a person, place, or phenomena, and the study of etiology found in mythology is called etiological analysis.[cite:@sbccoe2007what] Examples of etiology in mythology include the abduction of Persephone explaining the seasons, or Thor creating mountains.
