Mathematical writing

A mathematician's ability to communicate effectively is of an importance younger students may find surprising, after many brutal years of grade school had convinced them otherwise [cite:@lockhart2009mathematician]. To practise mathematics, one must practise the complex art of mathematical writing just as they practise mathematical thinking.
