Location-marking particle (Korean)
In Korean, the location-marking particles a place in which a verb is taking place, places of origin, origin locations and origin destinations in ranges, beginning and ending times in ranges.
-์
The particle -์ is used for destinations, with the verb ์๋ค, or for times at which something happens.
- ๋ด์ผ ๋ฐค์ ๋น๊ฐ ์ฌ์ง ๋ชฐ๋ผ์.
It might rain tomorrow night.
While one might reason that the rain is taking place tomorrow night and that -์์ should be used, ... I think the only reason we use -์ is because ๋ด์ผ ๋ฐค is a time.
-์์
The particle -์์ marks the location in which an action verb is taking place, or where something is from.
- ์ฌ๊ธฐ์์ ์ ๊ธฐ๊น์ง

The verb ์ด๋ค ("to live") is an example of a static verb, a rare class of verb that can be used with either -์ or -์์ while maintaining the same meaning.
-์์ is occasionally contracted to -์:
- ์ฌ๊ธฐ์ ์ ํํ ๊ธฐ๋ค๋ฆฌ์ธ์.

-๋ถํฐ
Like -์์, the particle -๋ถํฐ may translate to the English word "from," but -์์ is generally used with locations while -๋ถํฐ is used with times.
- ์ด์ ๋ถํฐ
from/since yesterday
-๊น์ง
The particle -๊น์ง marks a destination or the end of a range. While two different particles are used for origin locations and beginnings of ranges, there is no such split for -๊น์ง.
- ๋ด์ผ๊น์ง
to/until tomorrow
- ์ง๊ธ๋ถํฐ ๋ชจ๋ ๊น์ง
from now until overmorrow
