“So, therefore” in Korean
In English, the conjunctions "so," "therefore," and "thus" are used to express one thing as a consequence of another.
It started raining, so I went inside.
In Korean, the conjunctive adverb 그래서 is used for this purpose:
- 그래서
so, therefore, thus, because of that
- 오늘은 비가 왔어요. 그래서 집에 있었어요.
It rained today. So I was at home.

There is also the verb suffix -고, linking two actions, conditions, or facts.
- 제 친구는 예쁘고 착해요.
My friend is pretty and kind.
